As you may know, we have had the privilege over the last number of months to participate in the Ministry Apprenticeship Program (MAP) through our Maritime District. Matt Casey has been our ministry apprentice since September of 2019. You may have seen Matt involved in various aspects of church life; making announcements, assisting with kids/youth and on family nights, leading communion, visiting small groups, as well as doing a lot of our graphics for church and website.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus and recommendations regarding students at this present time, the apprenticeship program has been brought to an end earlier than planned. This brings us to having to say "so long" too soon! (See letter from Pastor Matt below)
Thank you, Matt and Michelle, it has been a pleasure to get to know you. You are part of LifeSong! We hope to continue to see you around the district and will keep you always in our hearts and prayers!
Letter from Pastor Matt:
Letter of Goodbye:
Dear LifeSong Family,
It is with great sadness that I write this letter to you. Due to the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, it is with a heavy heart I must inform you my apprenticeship at LifeSong has come to a close, effective immediately. I want to thank all of you for inviting me into your church family over these last seven months and the fond times I have had with all of you. I will greatly miss you all. I have enjoyed my time getting to know you and you have truly been a blessing in my life. Words cannot express my sadness in leaving you all. I truly wish all of you the best and you will be in my thoughts and prayers often. Michelle and I will be remaining in the HRM over the summer so we may bump into each other. If you see us say, “Hi” we would love to catch up with you. May God bless you all.
